The Movie

The Film is a saga of trials and tribulations of the greatest martyr of pre-independence era, MR. SHIRAM HARI RAJGURU one of the Trio BHAGAT SINGH, SUKHDEV and RAJGURU, who laid down their lives for the noble cause-India’s freedom. Bhagat Singh was Sikh, Sukhdev was Panjabi and Rajguru was Maharashtrian.

Born in Brahmin family of Brahme in small town of Khed in Pune district. He was fondly called Bapusaheb. The story unfolds events during Shivram’s 22 year of short life span depicting early childhood patriotic influences, volcanic hatred nurtured against the British due to their tyrannical acts and atrocities committed on poor innocent villagers creating revolutionary inclination against the British empire. The story embraces all the makings of revolutionary firebrand patriot that Shivram got moulded into, who gave away his prime youth at the altar of the nation.

Shivram lost his father in early childhood, and was looked after his loving mother and his elder brother Dinkar who was in the services of British Govt. Naturally he desired Shivram to learn English and follow his footsteps. While Dinkar was a strict disciplinarian, his mother gave loving care to Shivram. Shivram would go to learn Kirtans and get influenced by Vedic scriptures and stories of puranas. He happened to witness cruel atrocities committed by Britishers on poor bullock-cart puller villager just because he did not give Britishmen way to pass immediately and this created a great hatred in Shivram’s heart and mind against British people.

Those were the days when National movement was in full swing and national leader Mr. Lokmanya Tilak gave an inspiring speech in Khed after which Shivram meets Lokmanya for his blessing. Lokmanaya was very happy to talk to and listen to sharp boy Shivram. Shivram was very happy to meet Lokmanya and was thrilled and inspired by him.
